Harry Grammer, Board Chair

Harry Grammer founded New Earth in 2003 and since then has been an integral part of growing the organization and developing its key program F.L.O.W (Fluent Love of Words, Down to Earth and Beyond Boundaries while developing new programs and initiatives like the New Earth Arts & Leadership. As the Founder, President and Board Chair, Harry brings his leadership and visionary spirit, along with an extensive background in working with incarcerated and at-risk youth.  For rover 12 years, Harry has been the lead instructor for all New Earth programming that is offered to over 2,500 incarcerated and formerly incarcerated youth per year in Los Angeles County. In addition to developing and teaching core curriculum, and designing new prrgrams, Harry also trains and manages New Earth teaching staff. Harry has subcontracted his services as a Transition/Re-entry Counselor through the Los Angeles County Probation Department. As a Transition Counselor, Harry mentored youth and their families, conducted case work, assisted with job placement, and advocatds in the court rooms for incarcerated youth. He has a stellar track record-with an 83% success rate in keeping the kids he works with out of the juvenile probation system once they are released.

Harry holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Depth Psychology with an emphasis in Community Psychology, Liberation Psychology, and Eco-Psychology.
